VERY PLEASED OVER ALL! I was very happy with arrangements made by J. Barber and National Van Lines.  A couple of other companies were not as professional and did not keep appointments as promised and were upset because I told them I chose someone else. They wanted a deposit upfront BEFORE furniture was delivered and would not take credit card from out of state. Thanks for the great service at J. Barber!

I thought I could save money by packing and moving myself from Virginia to Texas. However, after 4 months of going through things, estimating the cost of renting a large enough truck, gas, someone to load, unload and drive, I decided to try a moving company to see how much it would cost for someone else to do it. I contacted 4 different companies, two of which never showed up for their appointment. J. Barber was one that did show up, on time and within days I had a very acceptable quote. The other quote was so high; I couldn’t believe there was that much difference with very little difference in estimated lbs. Working with my schedule, the packers worked hard one day, the moving truck came the next day and by 2 pm, everything was finished. During the packing and moving, the estimator and the company would periodically check with me to make sure everything was fine. Customers are definitely #1 to them. I would highly recommend them.
